Legalization and Apostille
Legalization and Apostille Information
The legalization process is applied to countries that are not members of the Hague Apostille Convention.
The apostille certificate is issued by the State of California Secretary of State to authenticate the document to be used in a foreign country. The foreign country must be a member of The Convention of 5 October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents (HCCH 1961 Apostille Convention).
