In the early morning hours, several faculty and staff members of New Western University (NWU) prepared small care packages for colleagues and educators in Ukraine.

These packages—containing warm clothing, portable lighting, and personal messages—symbolize the compassion and solidarity of individuals within the NWU community.

In the cold European winter, one may not fully sense what true cold feels like while drinking hot coffee in a heated room.But in Kyiv, dedicated teachers and scholars continue to pour their passion and energy into supporting students despite difficult conditions.

Their perseverance inspired members of the NWU community to extend a gesture of empathy and support through these simple packages.

The initiative was organized privately by NWU employees who wished to express their goodwill and solidarity with fellow educators working under challenging circumstances.

While modest in scale, the act reflects the shared humanity and collegial spirit that connect educators across borders.
